As a program of Compassionate Capital Region (a resource for building caring communities at the grassroots level in collaboration with city and county government in the seven counties of Sacramento, Yolo, Sutter, Placer, El Dorado, Yuba and Nevada) we approach topics surrounding all aspects of living through programs of dialogue, education, events and an annual Symposium.

In 2017 the resolution passed for Sacramento to become a Compassionate City.

This year, our symposium will be a conversation about defining what compassion means to us and our community and how bringing compassion into our lives allows us to embrace live as well as death in a whole new way.

It is a basic human right to rest in peace while alive.
